SF Baseball: Saints Fly High in Doubleheader

Santa Fe College Saints Baseball Justin Jackson pitches on the mound.

February 19, 2024 – Last Thursday was a rough day for the Santa Fe College Saints men’s baseball team. They visited Polk State College for what became a thrilling fight – a fight the Saints lost.

Less than 24 hours later, the Saints hosted the team that had just gotten the better of them. The Eagles were in for a long day.

The doubleheader began with neither team gaining any ground. The Saints scored the first run and never let up, winning the first game 6-1. In a repeat of the first game, both teams took their time to get going in the second. However, the Saints repeated their performance, piling on the runs in the third inning. Santa Fe College eventually completed their revenge, winning 8-1.

The Saints meet the St. Johns River State College Vikings on Feb. 20 in Palatka.
