A basketball swooshing into a hoop

February 26, 2024 – Over the weekend, the Saints hit the road to take on the #24-ranked Florida Southwestern State College in Fort Myers. With a solid 20-6 record, the Buccaneers were a formidable opponent for the 10-16 Saints. Both teams were hungry for a conference victory, adding an extra layer of intensity to the matchup.

Right from the start, the Buccaneers showed their strength, keeping the Saints trailing for most of the game. In the end, the Saints fell short, losing with a final score of 79-57.

“FSW has an outstanding team, and they were able to wear us down as the game went on,” Saints Head Coach Chris Mowry said. “I thought we gave great effort and fought hard for 40 minutes. We look forward to playing at home Wednesday night against St. Pete.”

The Saints host the St. Petersburg College Titans on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
