March 13, 2024 – The South African delegation of the Community College Administrator Program (CCAP) arrived at Santa Fe College (SF) this week. They just finished a week-long stay at Florida State University (FSU) as part of their month-long exchange program. This program brings higher education leaders from around the world to meet with leaders at FSU and SF. The goal is to exchange ideas and gain insights into the college and university systems in the United States.

The delegation’s two-week visit includes sessions involving nearly every facet of Santa Fe College. Tours of the Northwest Campus and presentations covering university transfers, athletics and more are just a few highlights. The delegation will move on to tour Orlando-area community colleges on March 22.

Santa Fe College has been involved with CCAP since 2014, administering the program with the Learning Systems Institute at FSU on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and the Office of Global Educational Programs. FSU and SF have implemented ten CCAP programs with ten different countries. Santa Fe College has been the principal community college partner on all but the first of these programs and has helped host all visiting delegations.
