March 20, 2024 – The Saints visited the Seminole State College of Florida to take on the #16-ranked Raiders yesterday.
The Saints began the first game of the doubleheader strong, scoring two runs in the first inning. The Saints offense exploded in the fifth when they put nine runs on the board. This led to a run rule ending the game with a score of 13-0.
Game two was a virtual repeat of the first. The Saints scored early and often, eventually winning 11-3. Their record improves to 21-10.
“We had a very good showing on offense and defense today,” Saints Head Coach Savanah Webster said. “I am very proud of the team for bouncing back and coming together to compete against a top ranked opponent.”
On Thursday, March 21, the Saints will take on the Hillsborough Community College Lady Hawks in an exciting doubleheader at their home field. The action kicks off with the first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
