March 27, 2024 – The #16-ranked Saints hosted the St. Petersburg College Titans yesterday afternoon. The doubleheader began at 2 p.m. but didn’t last long.
Game 1
The Titans took the lead in the first inning 2-0. The Saints immediately struck back with a three-run second inning. The Titans reclaimed the lead in the fifth. The Saints emerged victorious in the seventh inning, thanks to a double with the bases loaded. The final score was 6-4.
Game 2
The Saints battered the Titans from the start. Their first inning fury ended with a 5-0 lead. They more than doubled their score in the second inning. The game ended in a mercy rule in the fifth inning. The final score: 12-1. The Saints improve their record to 24-11 for the season and 15-5 in conference play.
The Saints’ Next Challenge
The Saints visit Daytona State College on April 2 for a doubleheader before returning home April 4 to host Eastern Florida State College.
