April 18, 2024 – Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue. Proper disposal of unneeded drugs saves lives and protects the environment and our overall community.

The Santa Fe College Police Department is partnering again with the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Prescription Drug Take Back Day, where they will be accepting unused prescription drugs from Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28. The SFPD will have a drop box in its lobby for any unused or unwanted prescription drugs, including tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs that need to be properly disposed of. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharp and illegal drugs will not be accepted.
