April 22, 2024 – The Santa Fe Saints are trying to make an impact before the baseball season ends. With only a few games left, their opportunities dwindle.

The Saints traveled to St. Peterburg College to take on the Titans last Saturday. The Saints opened the series with the Titans on the previous Thursday with a 10-8 victory.

The first game of the doubleheader was scheduled for seven innings, but the Saints wrapped it up in just five by dominating the Titans 17-0.

The Titans pushed back in the second game, scoring early and limiting the Saints’ offense. The Saints tied the score in the ninth inning, but the Titans pulled ahead with a walk off single, winning 8-7.

The Saints go to Tampa on Tuesday to play the Hillsborough Community College Hawks. Both teams will meet again Saturday for a doubleheader at SF’s Harry Tholen Field.
