April 29, 2024 – On Saturday, the Santa Fe Saints hosted the Miami Dade College Sharks for a Citrus Conference doubleheader. Having secured victories over the Sharks twice on Thursday, the Saints headed into Saturday in fourth place in the conference, cementing their spot in the FCSAA Region VIII state tournament in Clearwater. Meanwhile, the Sharks maintained their seventh-place position.
Game one was all Saints. They shut out the Sharks 8-0. Game two, however, was an uphill battle for the Saints. Despite forcing the game into extra innings, the Saints fell to the Sharks 8-6.
On Wednesday, May 8, the Saints will compete in the FCSAA Region VIII tournament held in Clearwater, Florida. Let’s wish them the best!
