May 7, 2024 – In a recent email to the Santa Fe College community, Dr. J. Nathaniel Southerland, SF Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs announced the selection of Dr. Nilanjana Caballero as the new Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (Health Sciences) effective immediately.
Dr. Caballero has been with Santa Fe College since 2007 in a variety of roles. After a brief stint as an adjunct faculty member, Nilanjana was hired as a full-time faculty member teaching Anatomy & Physiology and Pathophysiology in 2008. In 2013, she became the Department Chair of Sciences for Health Programs, where she served for over a decade. During part of that time, she also served as the Acting Chair of the Nursing Department. Most recently, Dr. Caballero has been serving as the Interim AVP for Health Sciences, a role she assumed in 2023.
