May 25, 2024 – Here’s some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- Santa Fe College will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27: Normal operating hours will resume Tuesday, May 28.
- Wellness Week winners have been announced: Santa Fe College’s annual Spring into Wellness ran from April 2 to May 3.
- SF Achieve is looking for new mentors for Scholars enrolling at SF in Summer and Fall 2024: Mentors will be asked to check in with their assigned students each term and serve as a point of contact to help facilitate connecting those students to college resources.
- Cheryl Farrell was named the 2024 Career Service STAR Award Winner: Every year, Santa Fe College’s Career Service Council celebrates an outstanding employee with a special award to recognize their exceptional service and achievements.
- SF faculty and staff headshots begin soon: Pick a date and time from the list that works best for you.
- Project SAINT’s grant has been renewed: The program will continue to provide a very important college experience to young adults with intellectual disabilities/unique abilities.
- This summer’s Civic Engagement and Service Summer Tour has begun: Students are encouraged to sign up for these service projects.
- The Teaching Zoo’s founder was honored by the District Board of Trustees: Ray Giron’s contributions led to the forming of the only zoo on a college campus accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
- Internal job openings have been updated: If you have experience at SF, these career opportunities may be right for you.
