June 15, 2024 – Here’s some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- A Juneteenth event at Blount Hall features gospel extravaganza and more: The Santa Fe College Association of Black Faculty and Staff invites the community to “Juneteenth: Honoring the Journey to Freedom – Reflection and Resilience – and Still We Rise.”
- The 2024-2025 College Budget Presentation happens June 20: Immediately following the presentation, there will be a brief Q&A session to address the details of the presentation.
- Celebrate International Day of Yoga on June 21: SF students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in a group practice from 9 to 11 a.m. in S-326.
- Cheryl Farrell’s Retirement Celebration happens June 27: It will be held in the President’s Lobby from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
- Construction begins on the Cellon Institute: The Ralph W. Cellon Jr. Institute for Skilled Trades and Advanced Manufacturing will be on the Northwest Campus, across from the Perry Construction Institute.
- Volunteers are needed to receive free ultrasounds: To schedule appointments or inquire further, please contact Jennifer Weeks at jennifer.weeks@sfcollege.edu or 352-395-5972.
- Join the AFC in supporting Partnership for Strong Families’ Back to School Drive: You can support this drive by donating new school supplies.
- Internal job postings are updated: Santa Fe College periodically has job openings specifically for internal candidates.
