SF Midweek Review: Convocation, Brew at the Zoo and More

August 14, 2024 – Stay updated on the week’s events and developments at Santa Fe College:

• SF opens the 2024-25 academic year with Convocation Aug. 16: The event starts with a reception and light breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall.

• Guests aged 21 and over are invited to a special after-hours event at Brew at the Zoo: The event happens at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m.

• The SF Achieve program seeks new mentors: Only full-time employees can serve as mentors.

• Santa Fe College welcomes Kim Liechty as its new Bookstore Manager: Liechty succeeds Mary Jane Mahoney who retired in June.

• The Heritage Foods Symposium takes place Aug. 23: A day of free workshops and presentations will be held at the Santa Fe College Charles L. Blount Center, focusing on increasing access and expanding opportunities for small farms, farmers markets, gardens, and community education in Florida.

• Several SF offices will stay open evenings the week before and the first week of classes: Students may access the services provided by these offices in person, over the phone or using the various digital lobbies.

• SF faculty and staff can schedule headshots: Pick a date and time from the list that works best.
