SAINTS BATTLE FSC-J IN MFC TOURNAMENT GAME
Gainesville, FL – The road to the FCCAA State Tournament starts on Monday when the Santa Fe Saints (16-11, 4-4 MFC) take on Florida State College-Jacksonville at 7:00pm in Gainesville. The winner of the game will face the winner of Central Florida vs. St. John’s River, also taking place on Monday night.
The two teams met twice during the regular season, with the Saints taking both matchups. SF took the first game in Jacksonville, 67-64 on a buzzer beating three pointer by Branimir Mikulic. The last win came on February 17 in Gainesville, 78-69.
Should the Saints win, the location of the next game will be determined by the winner of the CFCC/St. John’s game. If CFCC wins, the Saints will meet them in Ocala. If St. John’s wins, they would come to Gainesville for the MFC Tournament Championship game. If Santa Fe loses, the season is over.
