Get Involved with “Gainesville’s Favorite Springtime Celebration,” April 9 and 10

Last year, the annual SF Spring Arts Festival hosted 120,000 people for a weekend of arts, entertainment, and FUN. Show your community spirit and volunteer for the festival!

The festival showcases hundreds of nationally recognized artists from across the United States. Exquisite artwork can be enjoyed and there is the enormous family and children’s hands-on area, the Kid’s Art Jungle, held on the Thomas Center Grounds.

Come be part of the fun.  Volunteers who work six hours or more may receive a free festival volunteer T-shirt and are eligible for discounts on other souvenir items.

The festival is a wonderful way to lend a hand to our community.

Volunteer Areas Include:

Information Booths – The information booth is a great way to enjoy the wonderful weather and meet new people.  Help sell T-shirts and posters, check-in volunteers and assist artists and visitors with directions and information.

Kid’s Art Jungle – A favorite area, located on the picturesque grounds of the Thomas Center, featuring 15 international craft ideas.  Paint fairies and flowers on children’s faces or help make molas and mosaics.

Pre-Festival Preparation – Be part of the planning process by helping prep our craft activities. Prepare the Festival street by placing space numbers, barricading and protecting the palms that line this historic street.

Booth Sitting – Meet artists first hand and help out by relieving them for half-hour intervals.

Coke Booth – Sell Coke products to festival spectators. A great area for groups to work.
