CHOICES Eligibility Criteria Changed to Accept Alachua County Citizens Studying at SF

Director of Student Life Dan Rodkin reports the Alachua County Commission voted April 26  in favor of Santa Fe students being eligible for CHOICES, the local health care program for working people without health insurance.

“Our students who meet the eligibility requirements will no longer be denied CHOICES just because they are Santa Fe College students,” explained Rodkin.

Speaking on behalf of Santa Fe students were Rodkin, Bruce Major, R.N. (of SF’s Student Health Care Center), Student Body President Gerard Williams, Jr. and Senate President Pro Tempore Khalil Quinan.

Thank you for your advocacy on behalf of our students!

Students who believe they might be eligible for CHOICES should visit the program online.
