SF MEN’S BASKETBALL
#4 SAINTS HOST SCF ON WEDNESDAY, NOV. 16 AT 7:00 PM
Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints jumped three spots to #4 in the most recent FCSAA Coaches’ Poll thanks to a 3-0 start and will look to make it 4-0 when State College of Florida makes the trip to Gainesville on Wednesday, November 16 for a 7:00 PM tip-off.
Santa Fe has won 12 straight against SCF dating back to the 2004-05 season. They defeated the Manatees twice last season, 93-88 on November 9, 2010 and 68-59 on December 1, 2010.
The Saints most recent win came at the expense of the defending FCSAA State Champion Tallahassee CC Eagles on November 11. SF rode a stingy defensive effort and timely shooting to a 64-59 victory. Sophomore Brian Holmes came up big, scoring 21 points, including 17 in the second half.
