March is Women’s History Month. To commemorate this, Santa Fe College will screen the award-winning film Miss Representation at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, in the Fine Arts Hall. The film will be followed by an open discussion moderated by Dr. Naima Brown and the students of Phi Theta Kappa.
Miss Representation, which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, explores the media’s depiction of women and how media images shape our culture.
This event is free and open to the public, and is co-sponsored by the SF Library, the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Student Life. Refreshments will be served. To preview a clip of the film, please visit http://www.missrepresentation.org/.
