CONWAY NAMED FCSAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK – FEBRUARY 20-28
Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe College’s Matt Conway is this week’s FCSAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Conway, a sophomore from Sarasota, Fla., posted a double-double – 22 points and 13 rebounds – in his only game of the week, a 77-62 win over St. Johns River State on February 25 in the Saints’ regular season finale.
Conway, who scored all 22 of his points in the first half, hit 7-of-12 shots overall, 5-of-9 three-pointers and all three of his free throw attempts. He was also credited with one assist, one steal and two blocks.
For the season, Conway averages 10 points and five rebounds per game. He is second on the team with 24 blocks and shoots 43% (49-for-114) from beyond the three point line.
