Reminder: QEP Early Alert System Survey

Reminder: QEP Early Alert System Survey

Part of SF’s QEP initiative includes the implementation of an Early Alert System to identify and provide timely support for struggling students.  Unlike Academic Progress Reports currently completed at SF, which are generated by support staff for particular cohorts of students (College Prep, Dual Enrollment, My Brother’s Keeper, etc) and ask for current academic standing for all students within that cohort, Early Alert is initiated by faculty as soon as ANY struggling student is identified or at any point during the term when a problem arises.  The purpose of an Early Alert is to connect the struggling student to campus resources and support staff so that the student can develop an action plan to resolve difficulties.

QEP Co-Chairs Rhonda Morris and Jodi Long thank all faculty who have responded thus far to the faculty early alert system survey emailed on Friday, March 23.  Faculty feedback will help refine the design of an early alert system appropriate for SF.  If you haven’t already, please take a few moments to complete the survey before March 31. If you need the link to the survey, please contact Rhonda Morris or Jodi Long.
