MILLER NAMED FCSAA PITCHER OF THE WEEK – MARCH 26-APRIL 1
Gainesville, FL – Cierra Miller is this week’s Florida College System Activities Association Softball Pitcher of the Week. Miller, a freshman from Cumberland, Md., went 3-0 with one save and a 0.00 ERA in four games – all in relief.
She pitched three perfect innings to record the game two victory against Mt. Mercy on March 26.
The next day, in game one vs. Central Florida, she recorded the final two outs in the top of the seventh then became the winning pitcher when the Saints rallied for the win in their last at-bat.
On March 29, she factored into the decision in both games against St. Johns River State. She notched the save in game one with 2.2 innings of work then pitched a perfect eighth inning in the nightcap, just in time for the Saints to deliver Miller the win another last at-bat victory.
For the week, Miller allowed only one hit and one walk while striking out six in 7.1 total innings of work.
