The Office of Civic Engagement is seeking students interested in traveling to Tallahassee May 29-31 for Florida Model Legislature, a simulation of state legislature. Students will write, debate and vote on legislation as representatives of the people in their legislative districts. They will serve as house representatives, senators, lobbyists and press corp members representing actual Florida legislative districts. They will advocate for debating senate and local issues and report on the events and activities throughout the conference.
Santa Fe College participants will leave the Northwest Campus at 10:30 a.m. May 29 and return at 11 p.m. May 31.
