A strategic goal of the Florida Department of Education is to promote quality services at educational institutions throughout the state. The Division of Florida Colleges annually recognizes colleges in the Florida College System that have established innovative practices or have enhanced existing programs. At this time, I invite all institutions to submit their top programs for this year’s Chancellor’s Best Practices Awards.
The 2013 Chancellor’s Best Practices Awards will be announced at the 64th Annual Association of Florida Colleges Convention on November 11, 2013. This year, the evaluation process has been modified. For your convenience, I have attached an updated Best Practices submission form. Please return this form via email to Liam McClay at Liam.McClay@fldoe.org once it has been completed and approved. You may visit the Florida Department of Education’s website www.fldoe.org/fcs/retention under the “Best Practices” section to learn more about criteria that will be used for evaluation and to view past winners. All program submissions must be received by Tuesday, August 20, 2013.
