This past weekend (Oct.12-13) The Santa Fe College United Nations Team competed in the eighth annual Florida Model United Nations Conference. The delegates representing SF preformed wonderfully and took home four awards of distinction.
As the delegation for Japan, our students won best speech in the General Assembly, best position paper in ECOSOC, and Honorable Delegation.
As the delegation from Russia, our students won a Distinguished Delegation award.
Overall, we had eighteen students participate this year and each came away with new insight into the diplomatic process, improved leadership skills, and many new friends from all over the state of Florida.
