SF WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Jacksonville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints and Florida State College-Jacksonville Blue Wave played to a one point game just over a week ago in Gainesville but the result was one sided on Wednesday night in Jacksonville as FSC-J defeated SF 95-50.
The Blue Wave led 48-26 at the break and continued to pour it on in the second period, pulling away for the 45 point win.
The loss moves Santa Fe to 7-13 overall and 2-3 in Mid-Florida Conference play.
“We got out hustled out played tonight,” said SF Coach Chanda Stebbins. “Their offensive rebounding and pursuit of the ball was the difference in the game. We can’t win when we turn the ball over 27 times. They were much more aggressive than us and it showed in the outcome.”
Tori Baggett was the lone Saint in double figures with 10.
Santa Fe will regroup and face the College of Central Florida at home on Saturday, January 25 at 2:00 PM. The game will be live on www.ihigh.com/santafesaints.
