SF BASKETBALL
Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints will host a basketball double header on Saturday, February 15 in the SF gym with the women starting things off at 2:00 PM and the men following at 4:00 PM. Daytona State is the opponent for both games and each contest carries big post season implications.
The women (9-16, 4-6 MFC) need a win to put some distance between themselves and the Falcons (10-15, 2-7 MFC) for the third MFC State Tournament slot. A victory would put the Saints on the brink of clinching, barring a result from another game.
The men are two games behind Daytona State (22-4, 5-1 MFC), but still play the Falcons twice more, once tomorrow and again on Wednesday. A win at home on Saturday would pull the Saints (19-7, 3-3 MFC) to within one game of first place
Coach Chanda Stebbins and the women’s basketball team will be wearing pink to help bring awareness to the many brave individuals fighting against cancer every day.
