Gainesville, FL – For the third game in a row St. John’s River State College had Santa Fe’s number, this time defeating the Saints 8-3 in Gainesville.
The Vikings pounded out 17 hits on the afternoon and broke the game open with a four run fifth inning. The Saints (20-14, 8-7 MFC) scored one in the third, one in the sixth, and one in the eighth.
Brady Roberson did what he could for the SF offense, going 3-for-4 with a homerun, a double, and two RBI. Jonathan Camp finished 2-for-4, but the rest of the lineup struggled, going just 2-for-27.
Kevin Martin started on the hill for Santa Fe and went four innings, surrendering three runs on eight hits.
The Saints will open up a three game series against the College of Central Florida on Wednesday, April 9 at 3:00 PM in Gainesville.
