Saints Volleyball ranked #19 in latest NJCAA poll

After just 12 matches in school history, the Santa Fe Saints achieved another first, this time entering the National Junior College Athletics Association poll at #19.  There are 100 teams that compete in volleyball at the NJCAA Div. I level.  (Full NJCAA Poll)

At 11-1, Santa Fe has won seven straight matches, and only lost eight sets out of a total of 44 sets played.  Two of their wins have come against NJCAA Div. II #9 ranked Pasco-Hernando State College.

The Saints are hitting .266 as a team with 508 kills and 416 assists.  They are currently averaging 2.43 serves aces per set and 12.75 digs per set.  Ruth Harrington leads the team in kills with 137, Farah Rajaee is tops in assists with 358, and Ann-Lorrayne Bzoch leads in digs with 173.

The Saints are on the road tonight at Pasco Hernando and return home on Tuesday, September 23 for their first Mid-Florida Conference match against St. John’s River State College at 7:00 PM.
