October 5, 2017 – The Santa Fe College Information Technology Services (ITS) department will be implementing the first phase of a critical telephone system upgrade during the three-day weekend.
The phone system will be upgraded Oct. 6, 7 and 8. The phone system will be going up and down during the upgrade and may be down for several hours during the process.
When SF employees return Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, phones should be updated, however it is possible that some phones will not be functioning.
If your phone is not working, ITS recommends the following steps before calling the help desk:
Unplug your phone from the wall.
If your phone has a power cable unplug that also.
Wait 30 seconds, then plug your phone back in.
Your phone will now try to connect to the system and download patches.
This might take up to five minutes.
If your phone does not work after five minutes then please call the help desk at x5999.
