May 16, 2018 – The weather has been unrelenting during the FCSAA Tournament and continued to cause problems Tuesday, washing out two games that were both in the third inning.
The Saints are leading Chipola College 3-2 in an elimination game for SF. Chipola, who defeated the Saints 4-1 Saturday, has yet to lose in the tournament and cannot be knocked out with a loss. The other game is an elimination game between Hillsborough Community College and State College of Florida. Hillsborough leads that game 5-0.
Games are scheduled to resume Wednesday morning with a time yet to be determined. The hope is to resume at 11 a.m. The weather in Lakeland is calling for scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
