SAINTS WIN FIFTH STRAIGHT; SET DOWN PSC 3-0
September, 28, 2018 – Jacksonville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints made their second trip to Jacksonville in as many nights with similar results. SF took three straight sets over Panhandle Conference rival Pensacola State College 25-20, 25-22, 25-15.
The Saints won their fifth straight match and improved to 15-1 overall, 2-0 PC.
“Our Middles had a huge weekend for us,” said Head Coach Nick Cheronis.
Brooke Ruud led the way with nine kills and six blocks. Jocelyn Garcia added six kills and hit .667 for the match. The Saints also registered 10 aces as a team.
“We are much better about going behind the service line and scoring with our serve,” said Cheronis.
The Saints return to Gainesville for their first home match since September 8th when they host FSC/J for another conference matchup on Thursday October 4 at 7:00 pm.
