October 11, 2019 – Saints volleyball took away home court advantage from the Pensacola State College Pirates in a straight-set win Thursday.
The 25-18, 25-18, 25-19 match showcased the Saints’ talent at the middle position with Madison Sheffield registering 12 kills, Natalia Martinez adding 11, and Emily Register having six blocks.
“I thought our middles were dominant tonight,” said Saints head coach Nick Cheronis. “That’s great news for when we play Florida State College at Jacksonville.”
The win against the Pirates gives SF (7-11) a 4-1 conference record and spins the match against FSCJ– who also possess a 4-1 conference record – into the conference championship Friday, Oct. 11 in Pensacola.
