“No one in my family has graduated college, or even attended college, but me. It was just like, why can’t I do it? I like how tight knit Santa Fe College is. It just reminds me of home. I’m from a small town where everybody knows everybody and at Santa Fe College, I feel like I know almost everyone I have classes with. I actually got my job from someone I have class with. I work full-time at a pre-school and I want to be a kindergarten teacher when I graduate, so I’m getting experience. It’s crazy—small, small word. To me, it felt like it was meant to be. You already know these people. I didn’t have to start all over.
