November 4, 2019 – A celebration of the life of Dr. Azza Guertin is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Gainesville Garden Club, 1350 NW 75th Street in Gainesville.
Dr. Guertin, who started teaching at Santa Fe College in 1970, and retired in 2003, passed away Oct. 15, at the age of 84. Her family asks that you honor Dr. Guertin by planting a native tree, supporting the Santa Fe College Zoo, supporting the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, donating to the Butterfly Rainforest at the Florida Museum or donating to the Friends of the Library serving Alachua County.
