October 1, 2020 – Santa Fe College is partnering with the Florida Department of Health in Alachua County to provide another voluntary COVID-19 testing site for all full-time and part-time faculty and staff. TempForce talent as well as staff from the SF Food Court, SF Bookstore, and Coffee 101 Café are also welcome to test.
Testing will be offered on the Northwest Campus at the SF Gymnasium, Building V, Room 14, Thursday, Oct. 15, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The tests will be available by appointment only to ensure individuals receive important information and to increase the speed of the testing process. The tests will be billed to your insurance company, but there will be no out-of-pocket costs.
Voluntary appointments for you and your family members above the age of 10 can be made starting Monday, Oct 5 through Thursday Oct. 8 between 8:30 – 4 p.m. at 352-395-5643. Please have your insurance information (if you have it) readily available when you call. Appointments must be scheduled no later than 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.
The Florida Department of Health of Alachua County will administer the testing. Results are not available immediately; individuals will be given a number to call approximately three days after for results. If you test positive, the Florida Health Department will contact you directly.
Individuals should refrain from bringing any pets with them during testing. Wearing a mask is required.
