SF Encourages College Community to Get Vaccinated

As the Delta variant of COVID-19 continues to spread, officials at Santa Fe College are encouraging everyone to get vaccinated to mitigate the effects of the pandemic. Both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and public health experts have advised that vaccination is the best way to protect individuals and communities.
Anyone who has not yet been vaccinated is encouraged to seek out research from medical experts. The SF COVID-19 webpage includes links to the CDC where updated information is available. The college community can also get local vaccination information under the COVID Vaccine Availability section of the college’s COVID-19 Resources webpage. The data indicates that vaccines are effective in mitigating hospitalization and death from COVID-19. Vaccines are readily available at no cost and by appointment or walk-up at many locations in our community or close to home.
As we prepare for the beginning of the fall semester, SF is proud to offer students a greater selection of learning options and in-person experiences that contribute so much to our students’ success. As a reminder, a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving their final dose of the vaccine so make your plan now to get vaccinated. Stay safe Saints!
