Introduction

Gainesville FrogWatch USA at Santa Fe College

Gainesville FrogWatch USA at Santa Fe College

FrogWatch USA is a community science program that offers individuals an opportunity to learn about the wetlands in their community, to identify local frog calls and to report data. If you have a passion for learning about your local frog populations and have the ability to regularly visit a local wetland within Alachua and Bradford counties for data collection February – August, this program is for you! No previous frog or science background is needed, only a desire to learn about the world around you.

The Gainesville FrogWatch USA at Santa Fe College chapter hosts training courses for interested community members in January and February every year. After going virtual the last two years, we are excited to offer in-person training courses that will be conducted at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo . Pre-registration is required. Please choose from the following two dates offered to attend the virtual 3-hour training course.

  • Tuesday, January 31, 2023: 6-9 p.m.
  • Monday, February 13, 2023: 6-9 p.m.
