Professional Development Day Survey Sent to SF Employee Emails

February 8, 2023 – On Friday, March 3, Santa Fe College will be investing in its employees by holding Professional Development Day. The college will cancel all classes and close all public facing offices (including the zoo, planetarium, etc.) to give employees the time to participate. In an email sent to employees last month, President Broadie called Professional Development Day a “day of celebration, collaboration and connection.”

Professional Development Day begins in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall with light refreshments, followed by an awards ceremony and the keynote address from Dr. Tia Brown McNair. The afternoon will be filled with professional development opportunities designed to hone and enhance employee skills.

Employees should have received an email Tuesday from Leslie Rios. The email provides an overview of the day’s events and gives employees a selection of lunch options that will be served on Professional Development Day. Employees should make their lunch reservation as soon as possible as some lunch options have a limited number available.

The survey will remain open until Tuesday, Feb. 14. Shortly after the survey closes, details will be made available on the specific professional development sessions.
