March 6, 2023 – The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo has a few opportunities for SF employees and departments to spring into action and get involved this semester!
- Utilize the zoo for your class or department! We have a new request form for Santa Fe College affiliates – please use this form going forward to request a tour, class visit, or presentation involving zoo staff or students.

- Represent your department at Party for the Planet on April 15-16 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. This two-day event is an Earth Day celebration with over 500 visitors each day. We have three available spots for SF departments to table. If you are interested, please email jade.salamone@sfcollege.edu to reserve your booth no later than Friday, March 24. Requests are first come first serve. Your table must be staffed during event hours, and we encourage you to have a family friendly activity. A table and two chairs will be provided. - Donate your old cell phones, tablets, headphones, handheld gaming systems, and their accessories to be recycled through ECO-CELL. Funds raised from the recycling will be donated to Gorilla SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) to protect wild gorillas and their habitats. Drop off locations can be found at the zoo’s ticket window and Student Life, as well as a few locations around the community through April 30.
