March 7, 2023 – Santa Fe College Automotive and Welding students picked up wins recently in the Skills USA Region 2 Competition held at Florida State College in Jacksonville.
In Automotive, Judah Rostorfer took 1st in the Secondary category. Jonathan Mayer took 1st in the Post-Secondary Competition and Brandon Vick took 2nd in the Post-Secondary Competition. They were accompanied by Automotive instructors Chester Cowart and Chris Mortimer.
In Welding, Fisher Madsen, Dalton Hartsfeild and Josh Fenner competed in the Post-Secondary category. Josh took 2nd and will advance to state. Dalton took 3rd. They were accompanied by Welding instructor Jennifer Skyles.
