Blount Hall Marks First Anniversary.

April 12, 2023 – Last weekend marked the first anniversary of the opening of Blount Hall in downtown Gainesville. Home to Santa Fe College’s Business and Information Technology Education (ITE) programs, Blount Hall also has a larger space dedicated to incubating businesses through the Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED).

The college, with help from federal and state funding, as well as private donors and of course the Blount Family, designed the building to create more opportunities for interaction between degree-seeking students and business entrepreneurs.

“To see students take advantage of what we have to offer here is fantastic,” Mable Baker, SF’s Interim Director at the Blount Center said. “The collaboration between the CIED and our faculty in creating internships for students enhances their educational experience.”

Business programs have six options for bachelor’s programs, seven Associate in Science degrees and four certificate programs. Students who prefer to enter the college’s ITE programs have three bachelor’s degree tracks, four A.S. degrees and seven certificate options.

Registration for current students is going on now. New and incoming students can register for summer and fall classes beginning Friday, April 14. See where a degree at SF’s Blount Center can take you. Learn more and enroll today!
