October 18, 2023 – Bring your curiosity – and appetite – to this year’s Floribbean Festival!

Sing and dance while shopping and learning Thursday, Nov. 16 from 4-7 p.m. at the GNV Farmers Market, 619 S Main Street, Unit 1A, Gainesville.

Presented by the Florida Heritage Foods Initiative at Santa Fe College, the festival offers something for everyone. Explore the cultural and culinary linkages between Florida and the Caribbean. Learn new recipes and cooking techniques. Buy Florida heritage crops grown by local farmers. Discover how to grow these crops in your backyard.

The Florida Heritage Foods Initiative at Santa Fe College aims to link local food to local culture via public education about heritage foods and events like the Floribbean Festival.

Funding for the Florida Heritage Foods Initiative: Connecting Local Food with Local Culture in Florida Farmers Markets was made possible by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service through grant Agreement Number 21FMPPFL1026-00.
