Provost Search Committee Begins Review of Applications

October 30, 2023 – Santa Fe College’s Provost Search Committee met Monday to discuss the 55 applicants who submitted materials to become the college’s next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The committee was joined by representatives from AGB Search, the consulting firm assisting with the college’s search process. During Monday’s meeting, the committee reviewed the applications and discussed the process of getting additional information from candidates of interest.

The committee will continue their due diligence in reviewing the applications before meeting again in November to establish a list of semifinalists. Those semifinalists will then be scheduled for preliminary virtual interviews, which will be completed by the end of the fall term. After completing the preliminary interviews, a list of finalists will be announced before the start of winter break.

After the new year, finalists will visit the college for a two-day process which includes meet and greet opportunities with college and community groups, stakeholder forums, and the formal interview process with the Provost Search Committee as well as President Broadie. The college expects to name the new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in February.
