November 11, 2023 – Over the weekend, Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D., released the following statement to the college community in recognition of Veterans Day.
Santa Fe College extends its deepest appreciation to all Veterans for their contributions and their willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Thank you to those brave and selfless members of the military that serve and have served our nation valiantly. We are forever grateful.
To our students, faculty, and staff who served, I thank you on behalf of our entire college community for your service. We honor you for your contributions to our national security and your commitment to service above self. Your presence enriches our college community, and we pay homage to you.
On this day and every day, we honor and pay tribute to our Veterans.
The president’s statement comes at the end of a high-profile week for SF’s veterans’ community. Earlier in the week, SF was once again named a Best for Vets institution by Military Times magazine. SF veterans were also featured in the latest episode of the college’s podcast, Developing Global Citizens. The new episode, available at sfcollege.edu/listen, features student veterans and their experiences in international education.
