December 19, 2023 – Santa Fe College faculty have maintained a vibrant virtual and face-to-face exchange with counterparts in Orebro, Sweden. In this episode of the Developing Global Citizens podcast, Professor Doug Diekow and representatives from the Thoren Business School discussed the Swedish-Gainesville connection and how it’s benefited students.
“I think that they learn a lot during these meetings and they grow as individuals,” Professor Diekow said, “and many of them stay in touch with people that they talk to during the Zoom calls as well. So for some of them it’s only a 30-minute experience, but for quite a few of them, they exchange social media accounts and they start talking to each other and they keep on learning even after the class has ended.”
