Four Things You Might Not Know About Santa Fe College

A group of people smile for a selfie as they sit outside together.

December 20, 2023 – Did you know Santa Fe College has . . .

. . . a Little Free Library?

Volunteers from SF’s Student Builders Association built the Little Free Library on behalf of the English department as a memorial for Dr. Richard Dickson. The Little Free Library organization invites readers to “Take a book. Share a book.” Our Little Free Library is on the south side of Building B on the Northwest Campus.

. . . a College Senate?

SF’s College Senate lets the faculty and technical/professional employees of Santa Fe College share information and ideas with each other and with college leaders. This way, they can improve teaching and student services, protect academic freedom and maintain high standards.

Meetings are typically held in Building P, Room 160 on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. The next one is Jan. 9, 2024.

. . . over 50 student-led clubs?

Students can get involved in the college experience by joining one of the many clubs and organizations at SF. From the American Association of Zoo Keepers to the Top Knotch Modeling Club, you’re sure to find something interesting. If you don’t, then you can start your own club!

. . . ensembles?

The Santa Fe College Fine Arts Department welcomes musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels to come make music with us! We host concerts every semester on the big stage, along with performances for special events on campus. You do not have to be a music major to join! Contact any of the following people for information:
