Potential for Severe Weather Monday Night and Tuesday

Severe storm information from the National Weather Service - Jacksonville indicating strong winds, isolated tornadoes and hail are possible this evening through Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024.

January 8, 2024 – The National Weather Service – Jacksonville has indicated potential hazards for the area tonight and Tuesday as severe weather moves through the region. Showers are likely to develop later this afternoon with winds increasing overnight.

Much of the area can expect consistent winds of 20-25 mph with damaging gusts between 50-70 throughout much of the day Tuesday. Some storms may produce heavy rains and the possibility of tornadoes.

Santa Fe College’s Emergency Management Team is monitoring the situation and all students, faculty and staff should be aware of the threat. Should any weather event have a negative impact on any SF property, the college will send notifications based on contact information you have provided.
