January 11, 2024 – The Santa Fe Saints Women’s basketball team defeated the Daytona State College Falcons in their last encounter. The Saints hoped to repeat that monumental victory yesterday.
Neither team gave an inch in the first two quarters. The Saints were poised for victory in the third, but the Falcons’ offense swooped in and changed the momentum. Daytona State College won 73-64.
“We’re in the thick of the conference now,” Saints Head Coach Russ Jackson said, “so we will need to regroup quickly.”
The 6-6 Saints host Eastern Florida State College on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m.
