January 24, 2024 – Having dropped their last four games, the Saints were determined to turn their fortunes around yesterday. They faced the Florida Southwestern State College Buccaneers in conference play.
Despite trailing the Bucs in the first half, the Saints outscored their opponents in the second. However, their efforts were not enough to take the victory. The Bucs won 87-76.
“I thought it was a hard-fought game by both teams tonight.” Saints Head Coach Chris Mowry said. “FSW has outstanding guards and great size and athleticism in the front court. We struggled to keep them off the glass, especially in the first half. If we are able to improve on the defensive end of the floor, we’ll be able to come out on top of some of our remaining games.”
The Saints will face St. Petersburg College on Saturday Jan. 27 in St. Petersburg.
