January 29, 2024 – The SF Saints Men’s Baseball team began another exciting season last Friday when they hosted the Lake-Sumter State College Lakehawks. The Saints dominated the Lakehawks last season, winning both encounters 13-9 and 5-3.

Friday was no different. The Saints clipped the Lakehawks’ wings early, scoring six runs in the first two innings. The Lakehawks valiantly fought back, but the Saints controlled every aspect of the game, winning 13-7.

The Saints had no time to rest. They traveled to Auburndale the next day to play a grueling doubleheader.

Their first challenge was getting past the Florida Southwestern State College Buccaneers. The Saints had a more difficult time putting their opponents away. However, the Saints were more than capable, shutting out the Bucs 4-0.

The final half of Saturday’s doubleheader saw the Saints push past the St. Petersburg College Titans, winning 8-4.

The 3-0 Saints host TNXL Academy on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at the SF Baseball Field. The first pitch is set for 2 p.m.
