March 11, 2024 – While most of us were enjoying a week off, it was business as usual for Santa Fe College Athletics.
Here’s a recap of what you might have missed:
Men’s Baseball
- March 2: The Saints split a doubleheader against Indian River State College, losing the first game 6-1 and winning the second 6-5.
- March 7: The Saints lost to Miami Dade College 10-0.
- March 9: The Saints split a doubleheader against Miami Dade College, winning the first game 6-1 and losing the second 8-5.
Men’s Basketball
- March 2: The Saints lost to Miami Dade College 75-51.
- March 4: The Saints lost their final game of the season against Indian River State College 83-74.
Women’s Basketball
- March 2: The Saints defeated Miami Dade College 70-53.
- March 4: The Saints lost their final regular season game against Indian River State College 65-56. Despite the loss, the Saints move on to compete in the state tournament, facing Gulf Coast State College at Northwest Florida on March 14.
Women’s Softball
- March 7: The Saints swept Polk State College in a doubleheader, winning 7-2 and 4-1.
- March 9: The Saints swept St. Petersburg College in a doubleheader, winning 8-3 and 8-1.
